Two-toned swags. Fabric was a crinkle polyester. The pink was solid, the gray was striped. The pieces were all interlined to give them some body.

The trick to this treatment is working up the swag pattern in a scrap of lining. After pleating the pattern, draw a line on the pattern where the seam would be to join two fabrics. Add a seam allowance, cut the two pieces, seam together, then fabricate as a standard swag.

This treatment was modified for two adjoining rooms. In the sitting room, we layered the fabrics on asymmetrical cascades.

The rosettes were layered with button centers.

In the master bedroom, we layered long cascades over bishop sleeves.
