This valance is a modified kingston valance of matelasse with a 5" band along the top edge. Tails and center horn are gathered to form a fan shaped header. Tassel trim defines the top banding and sets off the shape of tails and horn.

Originally, this treatment was a valance over double width pair of tied back panels. A move to a new home necessitated some modifications.

The valance fit perfectly over the new master bathroom window. The panels were split to make two pair of single width panels with 2-finger euro pleats.

While make-overs don't usually work too well, this particular treatment adapted itself beautifully to the new windows. The original treatment was all on one window. Breaking it out on to three windows resulted in a very airy, simple, beautiful finish.
